I was skeptical, as I've tried other, cheaper IPL devices in the past, but this one is different. It's powerful, and you can feel (and smell) it working. It does take a good amount of time and effort, so be prepared to block out at least an hour (if you're doing your legs and other areas) at least twice per week for a couple months. I saw results very quickly, which motivated me to keep going. I used to be able to feel stubble hours after shaving, now when I shave it's only because I have to before an IPL treatment. It doesn't feel necessary otherwise. Some hair follicles are visibly gone, especially on my underarms. Hopefully this progress continues and after a few more weeks I can take a break from using it every week. Some areas are more stubborn, like pubic and chin hair, so I hope to see more progress in those areas soon. If you're willing to invest the time, money, and energy, it's an affordable alternative to getting it done professionally or using any other method of hair removal. My only complaint is that I wish the window was larger so you could hit more surface area at once. Doing large areas like legs is frustratingly slow when you can only do a tiny spot at once.
